Latest Asylum Scheduling Bulletin is Out

Latest Asylum Scheduling Bulletin is Out

USCIS recently released its latest asylum scheduling bulletin, which details exactly how long asylum applicants at each asylum office around the country have to wait before they are scheduled for an interview. Not much has changed since last month’s bulletin. For asylum seekers who have filed their applications at the San Francisco Asylum Office, the office still has about a two year waiting list. The bulletin states that in December 2015, the SF Asylum Office was only interviewing applicants who filed their asylum applications in November 2013. If the SF Asylum Office keeps up their pace, asylum applicants filing now will likely have to wait two years for their interview. Although two years is a long wait, it could be worse, if you lived in Los Angeles, you would have to wait over four years for an interview!
